…are you still sick?
– and people have even prayed for you?
Have you been prayed for, but you were not healed?
Many people tell themselves: “It’s probably not the will of God for me to be well”. Or “God probably has a plan with me being sick”. This is a downright lie and it is not true! It IS the will of God for people to be well. Not ONE person who came to Jesus and mentioned in the Bible was not healed!!!
Try to not look at sickness as something to be healed, but as a spirit of sickness that needs to leave the person.
God does NOT want anybody sick. He wants NO sickness. But the devil introduced sickness and disease in this world… The devil is the one spreading sickness, disease and strife. What we Christians often forget is to persevere in FAITH, PRAYER, and AUTHORITY towards the devil. Sometimes it is just not enough to pray one time, two times – or three times before “it” leaves.
Personally, I have been in the streets so many times to pray for the sick. Oftentimes healings happen here and now, other times I pray 7-8 times before the sickness/the spirit of sickness leaves … and sometimes I pray for several hours before the sickness leaves! Have a look at this – I prayed SEVERAL times and some were even cut from the recording http://youtu.be/Un5Dcq7uGK4?t=1m55s
– Other times it takes weeks or months in perseverance … In the Book of Daniel chapter 10 verses 12-13 it says (NIV):
“Do not be afraid, Daniel. Since the first day that you set your mind to gain understanding and to humble yourself before your God, your words were heard, and I have come in response to them. But the prince of the Persian kingdom resisted me twenty-one days. Then Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me, because I was detained there with the king of Persia.
… so the devil is the problem…!!! Interesting. The same thing often happens when we command sickness to go.
The consequence of believing: “It is probably not the will of God for me to be healed” is that one gets hurt and disappointed that “God does not want to help” or “it is God’s plan”… But this is simply a lie that it be God’s plan for you to be sick! The important thing is: Keep on, keep on, keep on… When we pray, a spiritual battle is going on. Therefore should not only pray, we should use the authority that we have been given through Jesus Christ. We should consider a healing as a war against Satan instead of “God probably does not want to heal me”. Look at this video (in English) where a woman tells of how she was healed after MANY years of sickness).
Can we Christians be sure at all that we can heal the sick just because we have accepted Jesus and the Holy Spirit? Yes, we can!! I recommend that you read Matthew 10:1 where Jesus gives his disciples authority to cast out evil spirits…
“Jesus called his twelve disciples to him and gave them authority to drive out impure spirits and to heal every disease and sickness.”
Did Jesus say that only some people could be delivered – and that the devil could live in others? No – he did not!!
In the same verse (Matth. 10:1) Jesus gives his disciples authority to ”heal every disease and sickness” … The same question: Did he say that only some people could be healed? No!!
There is not one example in the Bible where the disciples (those that followed Jesus) prayed for a person who did not get healed.
The Gospel of John – Chapter 14
v12 Very truly I tell you, whoever believes in me will do the works I have been doing, and they will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father. v13-14 And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. You may ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it.(NIV)
We who have accepted Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour should in FAITH do the SAME and EVEN GREATER THINGS than what Jesus did….
But the devil sometimes “puts a spoke in the wheel” when we pray – and refuses to leave the sick person or the one being oppressed. And we are not good enough to remember what Col. 4:2 tells us:
“Don’t be weary in prayer; keep at it; watch for God’s answers, and remember to be thankful when they come.” (Living Bible)
Who of us (including myself) are good at not being weary in prayer and keeping at it? Don’t we usually pray for just a couple of minutes???? Or…??
In The Lord’s Prayer we pray that the Kingdom of God may come – that the will of God may be done in earth as it is in heaven; and in heaven there is no sickness…
Gospel of Matthew – Chapter 6
9 “‘Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name, 10 your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. 11 Give us today our daily bread. 12 And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors.13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one.14 For if you forgive other people when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. 15 But if you do not forgive others their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins.”
The only requirement to be healed is that you sincerely want to be well!! You need to be willing to let go of any pension, paid card, assistant etc. etc.! If you do NOT wholeheartedly want to let go of these “advantages” then you do not wholeheartedly want to be well…! Or…????
Here is an everyday example where I do not pray for 5 minutes only:
25th October 2013:
I just returned home from the street where I prayed for Randi who is in a wheelchair. 5 years ago she had a blood clot and was 100% paralyzed and 100% insensible in half of the body. I prayed for her for one whole hour in the street and constantly something happened to her. Gradually, she was able to feel more and more in every part of her body… and her one arm began to react with muscle spasms a couple of times.
Randi could not talk either – ONLY yes and no. But she ended up saying ‘Thank you, Jesus’. She could feel when I tickled her – for the first time in 5 years!!! She does not yet believe in God, but she was SO amazed. I was allowed to take her home and tell her how much Jesus cared for her.
Next week I will be able to go to her house again to pray… For what God began He will complete. Now the nerves are working… and we just need for the muscles and tendons to function. JESUS IS SO COOL…!
1th November 2013
A small update…. Last week I prayed for Randi who was paralyzed in half of her body. Her sensation came back. Today I am with her again – and this time I prayed for her for almost two hours. JESUS IS SO GOOD!!! She got up, leaned on me and walked 20 steps…!!!! Her tongue began to feel again and is now able to move 100% freely in the mouth. Now only her arm is missing….
I spoke to her daughter about rehabilitation so that she may learn to speak – and get her muscular system in place.
JESUS, THANK YOU FOR ALL YOU DO!!!
– REMEMBER – Jesus is the one doing it… I am just a guy laying on of hands.
