Water on your head as baby
– and now you’re safe from hell…?
I have to be a little provocative here…
It sure is nice and easy being a Christian in Denmark today – just a christening… i.e. three splashes of water to the head as a baby – and then we have the key to Heaven the day we die…! Nice… But it just so happens that this is the biggest lie the “organized church” or “religion” has ever come up with – and actually, it is completely opposed to what it says in the Bible.
Believing in Jesus and getting a ticket to Heaven requires a personal faith, turning from everything that is “unpleasing” to God, and personal baptism, where we bury our old selfish life and are baptized to belong to Jesus (not baptized to be a member of a church).
I just “ran into” chapter 9 of the Gospel of Luke:
Then He said to them all, “If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow Me. For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake will save it. For what profit is it to a man if he gains the whole world, and is himself destroyed or lost? For whoever is ashamed of Me and My words, of him the Son of Man will be ashamed when He comes in His own glory, and in His Father’s, and of the holy angels. But I tell you truly, there are some standing here who shall not taste death till they see the kingdom of God.”
God is “supernatural” – His son, Jesus is “supernatural” as well, and the Bible is 100% inspired by God!
– We are moving quite a bit into the world of new age to tell about Jesus… and I realize more and more how much deceit is out there… Many people think they are praying to “Jesus”, but they don’t know Him. Others are under the impression that you don’t have to read the Bible to know Jesus, as long as everything is done in love – and no one is being judged. They believe in the existence of neither the devil nor hell. All we have is the “divine”.
YES, love is one of the greatest principles in the Bible, but with love comes justice, surrender, miracles, and FREEDOM…. I’m just saying – if we know the law and KNOW killing is not allowed, but we do it anyway – then isn’t it fair if we are punished for the murder? Certainly, anything less would not be loving to the family members of the person who was killed…. God is just in the same way – we know the “law”; we KNOW it takes personal faith, conversion, and surrender to Jesus, before we go to Heaven. That is His law 🙂 Just like you cannot raise your “earthly child” in pure love WITHOUT compromising justice. There is a consequence to every action.
– think about it… what do you think is the reason why we in Denmark can roam around as freely as we can – this is because the law is enforced. Sure it may seem unfair to spend 6 years in prison for cheating on your taxes, but for everyone else who paid their taxes, it is only fair – and at the same time, we follow the law because we know we will come under judgment if we cross the line.
If you are unsure whether you know the real “Jesus” from the Bible, and if you actually feel like you have surrendered to Him 100%… then check out Mark 16:16-18 and see if the signs described there also follow you… if they don’t, it is either because you are dealing with “Love-Jesus” only, or that you are not acting actively on the commands we have been given.
“He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned. And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.”
If you don’t believe the Bible and trust THE GUIDANCE OF THE HOLY SPIRIT, then you will simply never get to experience the miracles that happen even today – it brings freedom to both the soul, the body, and the spirit. It is healing, and it is freedom from guilt and shame under the law….
Mark chapter 6 says, just after Jesus fed 5000 people with just a few fish and a little bit of bread: “For they had not understood about the loaves, because their heart was hardened.”
….we still need to understand about the loaves today! But the only way we will do so is by laying down our human wisdom and seeking God’s wisdom and His inspiration and acting on “the Word”.
Today, when we experience the most incredible healings and deliverances, etc., it is because we do NOT follow all the false teachings of this world – both from the “organized church”, but also from all kinds of false “prophets” and “teachers”, but rather we follow the Word of God and the leading of the Holy Spirit.
