Are You Still Sick??
– and people have prayed for you over and over?
Have you experienced people praying for you without you getting well?
Many justify it by saying “It probably isn’t God’s will for me to be well”. Or, “God probably has a plan with my illness”. That is a straight-up lie and wrong! It IS God’s will for people to be well. Not ONE person in the Bible who came to Jesus wanting healing did so without being healed!!!
Try not to see disease as something that must be cured, but rather as a spirit of disease that needs to leave the sick.
God has created us all healthy. He really doesn’t want ANY disease. On the other hand, the devil brought disease into the world… The devil is precisely the one that spreads illness, destruction, and discord. The thing we often forget as Christians is persistence in FAITH, PRAYER, and AUTHORITY over the devil. Sometimes it just isn’t enough to pray once, twice, or three times, before “it” lets go.
Personally, I have been in the street many, many times to pray for the sick. Often the healing takes place immediately, other times I pray 7-8 times before the disease / spiritual power lets go… and once in a while I pray for several hours before the illness lets go! Have a look here, where I pray SEVERAL times, and a few of the times are even omitted from the video: http://youtu.be/Un5Dcq7uGK4?t=1m55s
– Again, there are other times where it takes weeks or months of persistence… If we read in the book of Daniel, chapter 10 verses 12-13, it says:
“Then he said to me, ‘Do not fear, Daniel, for from the first day that you set your heart to understand, and to humble yourself before your God, your words were heard; and I have come because of your words. But the prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me twenty-one days; and behold, Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me, for I had been left alone there with the kings of Persia.’”
…so, you see, the devil blocks the way…!!! It’s really quite interesting. The same thing often happens, when we proclaim over an illness.
The consequence of believing that “It probably isn’t God’s will for me to be healed” is a sense of sadness, disappointment, and hurt over God not “wanting” the best for you or that it is God’s plan”… But it is a straight-up lie that it is God’s plan for you to be sick! The most important thing is: Keep it up, keep it up, keep it up… The spiritual warfare is so strong when we pray. Therefore, we should not just pray, but rather use the authority we have received through Jesus Christ. Thus, we should view the healing as a war against Satan, rather than thinking “God probably won’t heal me”.
See this video, where a woman talks about how she was healed after MANY years of being sick).
Can we, as Christians, be sure that we can even heal the sick after receiving Jesus and the Holy Spirit? Yes, we can!! Try to read in Matt. 10:1, where Jesus gives his disciples the authority cast out evil spirits…
And when He had called His twelve disciples to Him, He gave them power over unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all kinds of sickness and all kinds of disease.
– Did Jesus say that only some people would be delivered – and that the devil would be allowed to live in others? No – He didn’t!!
In the same verse (Matt. 10:1), Jesus gives His disciples the authority to “heal all kinds of sickness and all kinds of disease”… Same question: Did he say that only some people were allowed to be healed? No!!
In the Bible, there is not one example, where the disciples (meaning those who follow Jesus) prayed for a person who wasn’t healed.
John 14:12-14
“Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father. And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.
This means that we, who have received Jesus Christ, are to do the SAME in FAITH, and even MORE than Jesus did….
Sometimes the devil just throws a “monkey wrench in the works” when we pray – refusing to leave the person who is sick or perhaps possessed. And the we are not good at obeying Col. 4:2, which reads “Continue earnestly in prayer, being vigilant in it with thanksgiving.”
– who of us (including myself) is good at continuing earnestly. Isn’t the prayer over in a few minutes, if that???? Or…??
Even in the Lord’s Prayer, we as for the Kingdom of God to break through – for God’s will to be done on earth as it is in Heaven – and there is no disease in Heaven.…
Matthew 6:9-15
Our Father in heaven, hallowed be Your name. Your kingdom come, Your will be done on earth as it is in Heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And do not lead us into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one. For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.
The only requirement for becoming well is that you SINCERELY want to be well!! Meaning that you need to be prepared to give up things like modified work, retirement, paid car/assistant, and so on and so on! If you CAN’T say sincerely that you can/will give up these “benefits”, then I suppose you can’t really be sincere about wanting to get well…! Or….????
A small example from my daily life, where I don’t pray for just 5 minutes:
October 25, 2013:
I just returned home from the street, where I prayed for Randi who is in a wheelchair. She had a thrombosis 5 years ago, making her 100% paralyzed and 100% numb in half her body. I prayed for her for an entire hour in the pedestrian mall and things were constantly happening. The feeling in her body returned gradually… and her arm started to react with a couple of muscle spasms.
Also, Randi couldn’t talk – NOTHING except for yes and no. But she ended up saying ‘Thank you, Jesus’. She could feel it when I tickled her – for the first time in 5 years!!! She still doesn’t believe in God, but it was SO amazing. She let me walk her home and tell her about how much Jesus loves her.
She is going to let me visit her again next week, so I can pray for her… because the work God has started, he will finish. Her nerves are finally working… all we need now is for the ligaments and muscles to work. JESUS IS TOO COOL…!
November 1, 2013
A little update…. Last week I prayed for Randi, who was paralyzed in half her body. She regained feeling, and today I visited her again – and this time I prayed for her for almost two hours. JESUS IS SO GOOD!!! She stood up, leaned against me, and took 20 steps…!!!! She regained feeling in her tongue and can move her mouth 100% freely. All that is left is her arm….
I spoke with her daughter about getting her into rehabilitation, so she can learn to talk = and get her musculature in shape.
JESUS, THANK YOU FOR THE THINGS YOU DO!!!
– REMEMBER – Jesus is the one doing it… I am just the guy laying on hands
