Deliverance – Is It Pure Phony Baloney?
…or could it really be real?
It’s “funny” – particularly this controversial talk about driving out demons from Christians – and whether or not it is phony….
Unfortunately, I often experience Christians who believe in a theology that says Christians can’t be possessed.
Today, Birte and I prayed for a man who had been personally Christian for MANY years. He ONLY spoke Farsi, and he didn’t understand a word in Danish, so we used an interpreter when talking to him… For many years, the man had been plagued by pathological fear and social anxiety. So, we were asked if we wouldn’t pray for the man’s fears – even though he had already received prayer.
Without the interpreter saying anything to the man, we commanded every demon of fear and anxiety to leave – and before he knew it, he began to vomit up slime… and after a hard struggle within the man, where he almost suffocated several times, he was completely free. He told us (through the interpreter) that when we were praying for him, he could see a brilliantly white figure who said, “Do not fear – I am with you and will help you”.
It gives you food for thought that a Christian who understands no Danish reacts so strongly. Especially when he is just expecting a “peaceful” prayer and no demons…
THANK YOU, JESUS, because YOU are our deliverer – and YOU liberate people. All honor to you, Jesus.
