Darkness is the absence of light!
Did you know that you can’t measure darkness? This is because darkness is the absence of light, so you are actually measuring the amount of light (LUX), rather than the darkness itself….
Did you know that you can’t measure coldness? This is because cold is the absence of heat, so you are actually measuring the amount of heat, rather than coldness itself.…
If you feel “dark” or “cold” inside – or if you feel a lack of inner peace… then how much of Jesus have you really let in?
Far too many believe that believing in Jesus will make you ecstatically happy – but “peace”, “warmth,” and “light” ONLY come if you spend time on and with Jesus.
– Sit in the sun – and you will tan: Sit in the presence of God, and he will transform coldness and dark to light and heat.
If you “simply believe” in Jesus but spend no time with Him and spend no time on immersing yourself in the word of God, you are holding an umbrella up between yourself and the “sun”, so it can’t wrap you in its heat and warmth. Faith in and of itself is not enough…!
Why are you clamoring for joy, for energy, for peace, and for a meaning with your life, if you believe in Jesus but can’t be “bothered” to spend time with Him…??? After all, He is the one who is supposed to guide you – or…? And how do you take guidance from someone with whom you spend no time…?
Fellowship with Jesus redeems you clear to the core of your heart. This is because it makes our daily trust in Him greater and greater – it gives us new strength, and it makes us want to spread the light to others.
Romans 12:2
And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.
….the only problem is that if you don’t “remove the umbrella” between you and God, you won’t get to know Him…! …and you are not allowing Him to lead you, even though you whine about how he is not making an effort in your life! Perhaps you should start by removing your “umbrella”… EVERY DAY!
