20 Years with Arthritis and Fibromyalgia
…but she met God…!
I want to share a quick thing that happened
– and it is important to add that this post is NOT about me and about what I can do, but about Jesus!!! – and about how ALL Christians who go out where “it hurts” and it gets embarrassing can do the same thing….
Yesterday, I was at the pedestrian mall in Vejle, where I ran into two young girls in their mid-20s along with a middle-aged woman.
After quite a bit of talk and skepticism from the two girls, they actually allowed me to pray for them and bless them, so they could feel God’s power…. The middle-aged woman was very open spiritually and had been into all kinds of occult things – anything from healing to acupuncture, yoga, and necromancy – and now she was in her 20th year of battling severe arthritis and fibromyalgia – constant pain throughout her body, day and night!
Anyway – while I was praying for these two young girls, the occult lady felt the Holy Spirit so powerfully that she had to step back several steps while I was praying – and this happened again while I prayed for the second girl – it was so powerful for her that it was almost uncomfortable.
Afterwards, I obviously asked her if I could pray for her arthritis and fibromyalgia, which she definitely was hesitant about. However, after a bit of an explanation of why she was feeling uncomfortable, she surprisingly said – “Yes, actually I would love for you to pray for me.”
I asserted myself over the disease and over several other things in her life as I felt led – and she became totally pain-free and completely astounded! The first time in 20 years without pain….
Yes, it can feel embarrassing and quite intrusive to stop people! You can really feel very small, and the thoughts fly through your head – “what if nothing happens,” etc. I can only say… “so what?” You are just doing what Jesus asked you to do… you are acting in obedience. EVERYONE who knows Jesus, can have the chance to pray for people this way! And wow…. Maybe it is intrusive, but it is amazing to see the eyes and the joy of such a woman, after Jesus works the miracle.
Humbled – and thankful…. wow!!!
